NYC Pride is proud to introduce the legendary Pride Island experience in a new hybrid format. Starts at midday from 29th Street and Fifth Avenue and ends on 16th Street and 7th Avenue.

Going into its 28th year, PrideFest is thrilled to be BACK for our annual LGBTQIA+ street fair that combines exhibitors, entertainers, food and activities for a day of fun and celebration in the name of equality.
Gitoo, a NYC-native, has carved a space for himself as a creative, host and professional personality who’s known for the electricity he brings to any space he’s in. Whittington, creator of AmbersCloset, is best known for creating content that not only represents her community, but empowers others to show up as their best, most authentic selves. Youth Pride 2021 was hosted by both Amber Whittington and Jorge “Gitoo” Wright – two powerful influencers and activists who are changing our country (and the world), coast to coast. Young people everywhere celebrated NYC Pride with their friends through musical performances, LGBTQIA+ center spotlights, DJ's, and a special ballroom segment. This RALLY event comes at a time when conversation, education and activism is needed most. The conference focused on activism and issues impacting the community. But while well-known landmarks like the Stonewall Inn or The Center are a major part of the Pride festivities, there are lots of other historic sites throughout the city that played a part in the LGBTQ rights movement in the city.Īnd soon, there will be more markers commemorating the trailblazers of that movement: The city will build a monument to activists Sylvia Rivera and Marsha P. Each year, thousands of people descend on New York City for the Pride March, commemorating the uprising that erupted following a police raid at Stonewall Inn in 1969.
